Individual Laser
The purpose of this project is to use the laser printer at a greater depth. There are going to be three projects made a notebook, water bottle, and a 3D object from thingiverse. The machine being used is the laser printer which uses a high powered laser to carve or engrave a design onto an object.
Notepad
The notepad is just engraving or cutting out a design on mat board to make a cover. First I was going to try roman numerals but it slowly transitioned to a roman viking design.
With the note pads cut and hole punched with the paper the notepad is complete.

Put on the cut out and engraving lines and this design was ready to be put on the printer. I set the lines to .0001 and image traced them all. Once that was complete it was ready to print. It printed out the two pads with the designs perfect but it wasn't done yet. I needed to cut and hole punch 20 paper and the note pads themselves with this machine. It doesn't need any special software because it just needs to be pressed down.

Water Bottle
This project was different from the others. This one had to be finished using something called a rotary jig. It holds the water bottle and rotates it while the design is put on horizontally. I wanted to keep the viking theme so I found a nice picture and some nortic words and put them on a vertical design, and it turned out to look great.
Here it is in its finished orientation and is ready to be put into the laser printer. Following the exact same instructions for the other laser printing things all that had to be done was a different alignment because it was water bottle. After it was finished the design looked great while straddling the circumference of the water bottle.

Thingiverse Shape
For this project it is a little different. I need to go to a website called thingiverse a 3D and laser printing site. Here I find a laser printer file that will cut out a shape for assembly. After a little searching i landed on a good looking file with some instruct able candles. The red lines are very thin and hard to see but are there.
Overall what I learned the most is that the laser printer is an game changer for building things. I only thought it could cut and engrave things but when I saw the rotary jig and some of the things in thingiverse I was absolutely stunned. This project has taught me more than any of the other projects.
